Zeke is a 7 year old black male losing his home due to the economy. He’s a quiet boy who is a bit shy with new dogs and people but soon warms up well to them. In his previous home, he lived with small and large dogs, is excellent with children and has also lived with cats. He’s initially shy with men but warms up quickly and is soon leaning on them for pets  and attention. Zeke does well on a leash and pulls only slightly. He is a wonderful boy that has been given a second chance at life. He looks to  be in great health and, other than the gray on his face, looks younger  than his years! He loves people and children and will eventually warm  right up to anybody. Zeke is very well behaved and just a sweet Dane.  Zeke came to MAGDRL in April 2010.

Update 6-1-10 - Zeke is doing very well in his foster home and gets along well with the female Dane. He does have some aggression at feeding time, so the foster is feeding them separately. We think he wasn’t getting much food in his previous home and once he realizes he will continue to get plenty to eat, it will improve over time. The foster reports he’s a love bug, but does take time to warm up to new dogs and people. He hasn’t had any exposure to kids or cats in our care, so we are unsure how he will do with them so we would prefer he not be place with kids younger than 8 years old.
